Welcome to the WAM online press room. The Museum’s marketing and communications staff is available to assist in scheduling interviews, providing background information, coordinating on-site photography and videography requests, and providing images of exhibitions, programs, or events. All media requests are handled through the Marketing department. Members of the media are invited to visit the Museum anytime during open hours. For press admission, please contact us at least two days prior to your visit. Filming and photo shoots are typically scheduled in advance on Mondays and Tuesdays when the Museum is closed. See below for photography guidelines.

Members of the media who wish to film or take photography inside WAM must be accompanied by a member of the Marketing Department. During photo shoots, we ask that all free-standing film and lighting equipment be properly weighted and all electrical cords taped. Published images of WAM and its collections must be accompanied by appropriate credit lines. Site visits or pre-filming/photography meetings may be requested to assess the physical requirements and restrictions. Click here for approved photography equipment (PDF 51KB).
Photography requests for non-editorial purposes (i.e. commercial use, academic reports, books, etc.) should be emailed to the WAM’s Image Management department: firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests for filming or photography not related to the permanent or temporary exhibitions (i.e. commercials, movies, etc.) are also handled by Image Management department.
