    Web Designer
    Marketing, Communications and Design Department

    Part-time opening (20 hrs/week) to support the Museum's marketing and communications initiatives by designing and maintaining the WAM website and digital publications. The web designer contributes to the overall marketing strategy and is responsible for upgrading and analyzing the Museum's web graphics. Responsibilities include designing graphics for digital media (lobby signage, the website, electronic newsletters, ads, social media, videos, and sundry interactive projects) and adding content (graphics, text, images, videos, and hyperlinks) to the Museum's website. The Web Designer is part of a busy, dynamic creative team that supports and/or collaborates with nearly every Museum department.

    The candidate must have three or more years of experience as a web/graphic designer, in particular with XHTML, CSS, content management software and Adobe Creative Suite. A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, IT, related field, or equivalent work experience is required. Experience with video editing software, graphic design, advertising, marketing, or related field is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; flexible, diplomatic, and team-oriented working style; and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously are essential.

    Central Control Room Guard

    We are seeking a reliable individual with a history of honesty and integrity to work a flexible, part time and on-call schedule (weekdays, evenings and weekend hours available) in the Central Control Room. Responsibilities include effectively maintaining the security requirements of the Museum, and operating and monitoring computer driven security systems throughout the Museum.

    Qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively, remain calm, and demonstrate good common sense during potential emergencies. The position requires the ability to conduct frequent patrols and physical inspections of building and systems. Familiarity with CCTV and radio communications systems and prior experience working in security field or with the public is necessary.

    Compensation: Day - $12.50     Night - $13.50
